Landsborough - Queensland

Helix Resources Limited 100%
Application EPM18363

Background

The Landsborough Project covers an area of approximately 325km2, the centre of which is located 100km to the NNW of Cloncurry. A spur railway line traverses the tenement. The Burke Development Road connecting Mt Isa with Normanton and Cloncurry also passes within 10km of the application. The Roseby Project is located immediately to the south-east of the Landsborough Project.

Recent activity by other explorers surrounding this project has highlighted additional prospectivity for copper and/or gold mineralisation.

The Landsborough Project is bound to the East by the Coolullah Fault Zone and to the West by an obscured contact relationship with rocks of the Eastern Mt Isa Succession. Significant regional faults associated with gold and copper mineralisation of Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) and other affinities converge in the Landsborough area beneath cover.

Two copper occurrences lie within the application. Additional copper and uranium occurrences surround the licence. This supports the exploration model and provides scope for additional mineralisation to be present in the licence area.
